Each year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) evaluates the quality of care and service provided by Medicare Advantage plans and rates them from one to five stars, with five being the highest.

*Star rating applies to all plans in California offered by SCAN Health Plan 2018-2023 except SCAN Healthy at Home (HMO SNP) and VillageHealth (HMO-POS SNP) plans. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. Awards and recognition are subject to change each year. 91% Member Rating of Plan as reported in the California edition of Medicare & You 2023.
